Holy Family Auction

Prepare yourself for a family reunion you will never forget! The Holy Family Auction, “Our Holy Family Reunion”, celebrates faith, family and community. The Holy Family Auction celebrates the 106 years since the establishment of the parish on May 10, 1910, when 75 families gathered for worship in a small cottage on El Centro and Fremont.

“We have multiple generations of families that have attended here and so we really want to lift that up. This bonds the community who live in faith here in the parish. We also want to celebrate the 90 plus ministries at Holy Family which are our ‘spiritual family.’ Through the ministries we serve the world beyond our parish boundaries,” said Parish Life Director, Cambria Tortorelli.

Last May, the Holy Family Auction was a great success thanks to the extraordinary contributions of our donors and the dedication of the volunteers. The auction supports the church’s faith formation ministries, kindergarten through 8th grade school and other programs for parishioners and the community.

“There’s a very strong sense of community here, I think that’s something that’s probably been in the parish since its founding a hundred and six years ago. South Pasadena itself is a small community that’s very cohesive and bonded. Many of our parishioners also come from outside of South Pasadena. In addition to the strong community, we try to extend a sense of welcome to everybody who comes on to our campus,” said Tortorelli.

The Auction will provide parishioners with the unique opportunity to share memories of their time with Holy Family and continue to support the work the church does as well as the affiliated Holy Family School. There will be hundreds of amazing and unique silent and live auction items (like fantastic trips) to bid on by attendees. And you don’t have to even come to buy a raffle ticket for a chance at $10,000!

“It’s an evening of great celebration. We’re a parish that likes to celebrate. I think the true mark of faith and the gift of faith is joy because we have so much to be hopeful and grateful for, and that finds its expression in joy” she added.
