La Cañada High School Girls Varsity Volleyball Team Wins Division 4 Title



La Cañada High School Girls Varsity Volleyball Team captured the CIF Southern Section Division 4 crown with a gritty 3–2 victory over Ventura High School Cougars (Ventura, CA) on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025. The match — played at Ventura High and starting at 6:00 p.m. — turned into a dramatic back-and-forth battle that kept both benches and stands fully engaged until the final point.

La Cañada came out strong, taking the first two sets 25–15 and 25–22 with precise offense and a disciplined defense that limited Ventura’s scoring chances. Ventura fought back with determination, winning the third and fourth sets 25–17 and 25–13 to force a decisive fifth set and shift momentum to the home team.

In the tiebreaker, the Spartans regrouped and surged ahead, showing the poise and teamwork that defined their season. They closed out the match 15–8 in set five, ending Ventura’s late comeback hopes and sealing the Division 4 title. It was a thrilling finish and a well-earned championship for La Cañada’s resilient squad.
