La Cañada Unified School District Celebrate Yom HaShoah, the Holocaust Remembrance Day

Today, the La Cañada Unified School District (LCUSD) school community comes together to observe Yom HaShoah, the Holocaust Remembrance Day. This is a time for us to reflect on the darkest chapter in human history and to honor the memory of the millions of innocent lives lost.

May is Jewish Heritage Month, a time to honor the history, traditions, and contributions of the Jewish community. Jewish individuals have made significant impacts across many fields, from the arts to the sciences. LCUSD is proud to recognize the diversity of its student body and celebrate the heritage of its Jewish students, families, and staff. “At the start of this month, we reflect on solemn remembrance of the Holocaust, and we honor the spirit of the Jewish-American community whose experiences and perspectives continue to enrich our community.”
