La Salle’s Lancer Innovation Workshops Inspire Creativity Through Filmmaking

Summer at La Salle College Preparatory is filled with opportunities for students to explore, create, and discover through the school’s Lancer Innovation Workshops. Open to current, incoming, and non-La Salle students in grades 6–12, the workshops provide hands-on learning experiences across a variety of disciplines, including STEM, Visual and Performing Arts, and more. Each program is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and showcase the innovative, student-centered learning that defines the La Salle experience.

One of this summer’s featured workshops was the Center for Cinematic Arts program, where students explored the art of storytelling through every stage of the filmmaking process. From developing original concepts to filming, editing, and producing their own short films, participants gained valuable creative and technical skills while working collaboratively with their peers. The workshop concluded with a special screening that celebrated each student’s creativity, teamwork, and dedication, highlighting the inspiring results of a summer spent learning through the art of filmmaking.
