La Salle’s Peter Ly ’27 and Tade Petrosyan ’27 Make Their Mark at the 2024 Harvard Model Congress Conference

La Salle College Preparatory students Peter Ly ’27 and Tade Petrosyan ’27 are making their mark at the prestigious Harvard Model Congress Conference in San Francisco. This conference is a cornerstone of civic engagement, organized by Harvard and known as the nation’s most dynamic government simulation for high schoolers.

Appointed as delegates to the Presidential Cabinet, Peter serves as the Secretary of Homeland Security, while Tade steps into the role of Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. Their involvement goes beyond just roles; they actively engage in critical discussions, tackle real-world issues, and bring fresh perspectives. It’s a phenomenal opportunity for them to enhance their speech, debate, and policymaking skills, alongside networking with peers and Harvard delegates.

Amidst 300 students, Peter and Tade are part of a realistic government simulation, debating and legislating on current global challenges. This experience shapes their critical thinking and broadens their worldviews. We’re proud of their journey as they represent La Salle on this prestigious platform!
