Marshall Senior Kaiya Jota Makes it to the 2023 Philippine National Women’s Football Team

Marshall Fundamental School congratulate its very own rising senior, Kaiya Jota, who made the 2023 Philippine National Team as a goalkeeper, and is on her way to New Zealand for the FIFA Women’s World Cup! We are so incredibly proud! Kaiya has been a Marshall Eagle since middle school, and as a result of her hard work and dedication, she has had tremendous accomplishments in athletics and academics.

She has played on Marshall’s Girls Varsity Soccer Team beginning in her freshman year and her accolades include being a member of the 2022 and 2023 Mission Valley League (MVL) First Place Championship Teams, and the unstoppable 2022 CIF Division V Championship Team. As an individual athlete, she was named the 2021 MVL First Team Goalie, 2022 MVL First Team All-League, 2022 CIF All-Area Team, and 2023 MVL First Team Defensive Player of the Year.

Kaiya has also consistently been on the Principal’s Honor Roll, in NHS, and is an AP Scholar. After graduation with her Class of 2024, she will be headed to Stanford University where she has already committed to playing on their Women’s Soccer Team in the Fall 2024. Kaiya’s kindness, dedication, and work ethic set her apart as an amazing ambassador of Marshall. Congratulations, Kaiya!
