Math in Action at Waverly School

Waverly School 7th graders took a short walking field trip to Vons during their math block to explore real-world applications of ratios, percents, and proportions. Students compared prices of some of their favorite products to find the best deals – discovering how the concepts they learn in class connect directly to everyday decision-making. The engaging outing made math come alive and showed students how practical and empowering these skills can be.
