New and Returning Musicians Invited to Join John Muir High School Band Camp

John Muir High School Early College Magnet is tuning up for an exciting season of music and movement as it kicks off its annual Band Camp, scheduled from August 11 to 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. daily. Open to students interested in Brass, Woodwinds, Percussion, and Colorguard, the camp welcomes all skill levels – No experience is necessary. Students are encouraged to bring comfortable shoes and plenty of water to stay energized and hydrated during the sessions.

Following Band Camp, the school will roll out its Period 9 Rehearsal Schedule for the 2024–25 school year, supporting the Marching Band and Colorguard in preparation for performances and competitions.

Rehearsals include:

Mondays:

• Drum Line: 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Full Band and Colorguard: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Tuesdays & Fridays:

• Morning Practice: 7:00 a.m. – 8:15 a.m.

Wednesdays:

• Afternoon Practice: 3:45 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

This engaging program is a great opportunity for students to develop musical skills, build camaraderie, and contribute to the proud tradition of John Muir High School’s performing arts.
