Senior to Senior Volunteers

As a Senior to Senior volunteer, not only will you have fun expanding your horizons, sharing your talents, and developing important life skills for college and career readiness, you’ll play an integral and meaningful role in the life of an elder in our community. The goal of our Senior to Senior Program is to bridge the gap between our community’s youth and elders through mutually beneficial engagement. This engagement will not only support the learning of essential life skills for our student volunteers but create meaningful connections for all participants.

10th Grade and Up PUSD Students Minimum 1 Semester Commitment

Besides it being a FUN, inspiring, and free way to complete community service, our volunteers enjoy serving in our program because of our inviting, diverse, and inclusive community where they build relationships with new kinds of people, learn more about themselves, and make a real impact on the life of others. Volunteering in our program teaches them to collaborate, builds their communication skills, expands their capacity for empathy, teaches them about responsibility, and what it really means to be an active, engaged member of their community.
