Pasadena Unified is LA Public Health CalFresh Healthy Living Grant Recipient

Pasadena Unified is thrilled to announce they’ve been awarded the CalFresh Healthy Living grant from Los Angeles County Public Health. Through this new partnership, PUSD will work together to strive for food justice. During these times of COVID uncertainty, availability of healthy, affordable food and maintaining good health cannot be added to the list of worries. CalFresh Healthy Living is a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) grant that aims to reduce obesity and chronic disease among low-income populations through a coordinated approach: Nutrition education and physical activity promotion. Community/stakeholder engagement and mobilization.
