Poly Students Shine in Performing Arts

Polytechnic School congratulates Upper School students Maddie S. ’26 and Isabelle L. ’26 for receiving accolades in the performing arts. The Pasadena Rotary Instrumental Music Competition awarded Maddie first place for her violin performance. She competed against students playing cello, piano, french horn, and more from schools in the Pasadena, South Pasadena, and La Cañada areas.

Isabelle reached the semifinals of The Music Center’s 36th Annual Spotlight program. This highly competitive and renowned initiative nurtures and showcases the next generation of artistic talent, for her ballet performance. She was part of a group of more than 1,500 whittled down to 114 from across Southern California. Isabella is now one step closer to the Grand Prize Finale, where students will compete for scholarships and recognition on the stage of The Music Center’s Walt Disney Concert Hall on June 4.
