Poly’s Upper School Math Department Chair Jack Prater’s Engineering Class Visit JPL



During Block Days, Poly’s Upper School Math Department Chair Jack Prater’s engineering class enjoyed a field trip to Pasadena’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory led by Poly parents and current employees Ashitey Trebi-Ollennu P’ 33, 29, 27 & Allen Umali P’ 27. During the visit, the students met with engineers, toured the facilities, checked out the Mars rover simulation, and viewed the testing of Europa Clipper, which is set to launch to explore the Jovian moons in October 2024. The field trip was an inspiring opportunity for students to envision a career as an engineer.
