Polytechnic School: Sea Level Rise
Seventh-graders enjoyed an interdisciplinary day studying sea level rise – short-term mitigations to the long-term plans. Students created posters about issues facing the environment that are currently adorning the walls of Gosney, played climate scattergories and created bumper stickers. But the most physical representation came from the day’s “World Build Project,” where students built the world out of sandbags on the Middle School courtyard and observed what happened when the area was flooded with water.
