PUSD Offers Employees COVID-19 Vaccines

PUSD began administering the COVID-19 vaccine to district employees on January 21, 2021.
• Every employee will be offered the vaccine
• Employees will receive an email with information about registering for an appointment.

As of February 10, 2021

• Due to vaccine supply, PUSD is not operating employee vaccine clinics this week
• Depending on whether PUSD receives a supply of vaccine doses, clinics will be held: February 18-19, 2021
• PUSD is prioritizing employees 65 years and older in all the tiers, according to the most recent State guidelines. (See Vaccination Scheduling Tiers below)
• PUSD Health Programs staff will contact employees via PUSD email and/or home telephone numbers on record to schedule the vaccine. Please check your PUSD email regularly. To update your phone number, complete an “Address or Name Change Form” here.

This FAQ represents current plans for providing vaccines to PUSD staff and will be updated as needed due to frequent changes in the COVID-19 situation.

How were vaccination scheduling tiers determined?
PUSD is following the state’s guidelines (revised January 22, 2021) and offering the vaccine to district employees 65 years of age or older.

The vaccination scheduling tiers were determined by identifying employee groups with the most likelihood of potential exposure. The full schedule of groups is in the PUSD Vaccination Scheduling Tiers in this FAQ, with the criteria used as follows:

• Occupational Hazard: Quarantine and Exposure Cases
• Those with essential status and highest risk
• Services the community depends on for daily support
• Instructional support programs
• Volunteer and support personnel that offer programming and critical services
