Scholarship Applications for the 2024 Rose Scholars is Now Open!

Scholarship applications for the 2024 ROSE Scholars Now Open! The Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association will award $20,000 in scholarships to eight graduating high school seniors from the Pasadena Unified School District. ROSE Scholars, presented by Citizens Business Bank, is a program designed to help students in our community thrive and to foster their potential. The Pasadena Tournament of Roses invites applicants to submit the following:
1. A creative piece that reflects your future goals and plans. (Creative Piece example: painting, sculpture, poem, song, interpretive dance, or direct a mini-documentary.)
2. A video recommendation. There is no minimum GPA requirement. Instead, please obtain a video recommendation from one teacher, coach, counselor or community organization leader. Video should be 1-2 minutes long, filmed horizontally and in .mp4 format.
3. A one-page reflection describing your thoughts and feelings about the creative piece.
4. A video reflection. Video should be 1-2 minutes long, filmed horizontally and in .mp4 format. The recording should go in-depth, describing your work, story, and inspiration for the piece and answering the question: Why do you want to be a Rose Scholar?
5. Capture still images (only if applicable to creative piece). Still images should be clear and high-resolution images of your creative piece (if applicable, i.e. a sculpture).
