The return to athletics at San Marino High School is picking up speed. However, SMHS is still required to follow many guidelines from the Los Angeles County Department of Public health. For its first week of official CIF competitions, SMHS will have two water polo competitions, varsity football on Friday, junior varsity football on Saturday, as well as two baseball games on Saturday.

Unfortunately, no member of the general public is allowed to any game to spectate. Additionally, SMHS is only allowing two members of a player’s immediate household family to attend. All those in attendance must maintain physical distance from all other households at all times or they will be removed from the event. All those in attendance must also wear a mask the entire time or they will be removed from the event. You can bring your own food and beverage. Guidelines ask that you not yell or cheer due to the concern that this will aspirate the virus and make it more contagious. You may bring a noisemaker but you cannot bring things like air horns.

All parents of all athletes will get an email asking them to identify the two persons in the household who will attend. These people will get a COVID screener sent to their email. That screener will need to be completed prior to entering the stadium. All San Marino attendees will enter via the west driveway. All will need a valid ID to cross-check with our screener, have their temperature taken, and to wear a mask. The gate will open at 6:30 for spectators and will close at 7:30 no exceptions. The school will have one bathroom open which is accessible one person at a time. The game will be live-streamed. At the end of the game, all spectators must leave immediately and wait in their vehicles for their student-athlete, No One is Allowed on the Field. No one is allowed to congregate before, during, or after the game.
