St. Rita School Celebrate Read Across America



In honor of Read Across America, St. Rita School’s future scholars are sharing what their favorite book is and why. Read Across America, an annual nationwide reading initiative created by the National Education Association that began in 1997 and coincides with Dr. Seuss’s birthday.

St. Rita School provides a comprehensive literacy program, involving different aspects of communication. The curriculum includes novel study, grammar, spelling, handwriting, vocabulary, composition and public speaking. Students complete tasks such as identifying subject and purpose, making inferences, writing summaries, to name a few.
