Students are Invited to Participate in Maranatha’s Dressember

Every December, Maranatha High School students join with advocates from all over the world to fight to end human trafficking by pledging to wear a dress or tie each day in the month of December.

Dressember is an international movement that has raised awareness and millions of dollars to support victims and survivors around the world. According to the organization’s website, “What may seem like a silly style challenge, has collectively raised over $18MM to fight human trafficking around the world. When enough people use their voices to advocate for change, things begin to shift. Dressember is much more than an awareness campaign; we’re a social movement rooted in the belief that all people deserve to be free.”

Maranatha students are invited to learn more about this worthy cause by visiting the Dressember website. Then, if they would like to become an advocate and participate in Dressember, students should follow these instructions.

How To Participate: Click this link to the Maranatha Dressember fundraising page, then click, “Become an Advocate” (located in the upper right-hand corner). Then, click “Join Team” (make sure to include your first and last name) and donate a minimum of $20.00 to participate. After you create a page, share your link with family and friends to raise support and meet our goal.
