Thurgood Marshall Secondary School Students Enjoy Summer SOAR Bowling Adventure

Students from Thurgood Marshall Secondary School’s Summer SOAR program enjoyed a fun-filled field trip to Lucky Strike Bowling in Pasadena, where they spent the day staying cool, strengthening friendships, and creating lasting memories. The outing provided the perfect opportunity for students to relax outside the classroom while building connections with their peers in a welcoming and supportive environment.

After lacing up their bowling shoes and choosing their favorite bowling balls, students hit the lanes for an afternoon filled with laughter, friendly competition, and great food. The trip encouraged teamwork, conversation, and new friendships, making it a memorable summer experience for everyone involved.

The bowling excursion was part of Marshall’s Summer SOAR (Specialized Opportunities for Academic Resilience) program, which provides students with academic support, enrichment opportunities, and wellness activities while helping them build confidence, strengthen relationships, and prepare for the upcoming school year.
