Uncovering the Science of Food: SAS Biology at Sequoyah School

Sequoyah School’s “SAS Biology: Micro Systems Macromolecules Investigation – How Are We What We Eat?” Students in Grayson’s class used chemical indicators to investigate some favorite foods for their respective macromolecules, which support life’s various metabolic processes. Through hands-on experimentation, they gained deeper insight into how carbohydrates, proteins, and fats function in the body. The activity encouraged critical thinking, teamwork, and connections between classroom science and everyday nutrition.
