VADA Student Sherry Villegas Earns Award of Excellence in Photography

The Visual Arts and Design Academy of Pasadena High School proudly congratulates its own Sherry Villegas, a VADA Class of 2026 artist-photographer, on her recent achievement. Sherry’s photograph, “I Belong, We Belong,” earned the Award of Excellence in Photography at the local level of the National PTA Reflections competition. With this honor, her powerful and thought-provoking work now advances to the next round of judging.

The academy also extends congratulations to all students who submitted artwork and placed in the competition; their creativity and dedication continue to inspire the VADA community. More updates on their accomplishments will be shared as they become available.

VADA is incredibly proud of Sherry and wishes her continued success as her beautiful and meaningful piece moves forward in the competition. Special thanks to the Pasadena High School PTSA for providing this valuable opportunity to celebrate and support student artists.
