A Virtual Rose Bowl? Yes, of Course!

Hallowed field launches new weekend interactive events with stadium and sports legends

It might be a long while before anyone other than groundskeepers do battle on the Rose Bowl Stadium field. We get that.

But like nearly every other entity in the known world, the legendary stadium has found a way to create some brand new excitement in the online world.

This week, the Rose Bowl Stadium launches a new online-based, virtual event world for attendees and fans alike—Rose Bowl LIVE!

This translates to a series of  free virtual and interactive weekend events from some of the biggest names in sports, food and fun through both Facebook and YouTube Live. Fans are encouraged to ask questions and become a part of the dialogue with a wide range of sports celebs.

Here’s the Rose Bowl LIVE! Schedule so far:

  • Saturday, April 25: Dan Fouts and Tim Brant—Following the NFL draft, join broadcasters Dan Fouts and Tim Brant share moments from the “Granddaddy of Them All”, including memories of announcing the game with the legendary voice of college football, Keith Jackson.
  • Saturday, May 2: Coach Dick Vermeil and John Sciarra—Former Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Rams and Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach, Dick Vermeil, is joined by former UCLA Bruin quarterback, John Sciarra.
  • Saturday, May 9: Ann Meyers Drysdale Former UCLA Bruins women’s basketball player and Olympian, Ann Meyers Drysdale joins us. 
  • Saturday, May 16: Brandi Chastain and Julie Foudy—1999 Women’s World Cup champions Brandi Chastain and Julie Foudy enter the Rose Bowl Stadium virtual event room.
