Parson’s Nose Theater in Pasadena presents “An Irish Celebration with Parson’s Nose Family and Friends!”, a free virtual event as a toast to this year’s Irish Celebration Radio Podcast.

This happens on Zoom from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, St. Patrick’s Day, March 17.

It’s a chance to be together online with just a favorite drink, a chat, a joke, and a toast.

Parson’s Nose Artistic Director Lance Davis, Mary Chalon and the Parson’s Nose Company will present this cozy virtual evening, Parson’s Nose Style.

Parson’s Nose Theater (PNT) is a professional, nonprofit theater in its 20th season, introducing classic plays and stories in a fun, new way. The theater performs professional, 90-minute adaptations of classics that present the language, characters, plot, and spirit of the world’s greatest writers in an intimate, accessible way. All events are presented in PNT’s own simple, yet sophisticated, comic style, focusing on storytelling and brilliant acting.

In 2020, due to COVID-19, PNT took advantage of their experience in Readers’ Theater to adapt to an exciting new podcast format – the Parson’s Nose Radio Theater. The company can record remotely, with in-home mics, and their sound designer edits and adds, creating audio plays that audiences can find on their website, as well as on Apple, Spotify, and other podcast platforms.

There are currently 16 episodes available online, presenting classic works from “Wind in the Willows” to “A Taste of Shakespeare” to “A Christmas Carol.”

“When all you have is lemons, make lemonade. And we’ve created a tasty new drink we’ll be sipping even after we return to live performance,” PNTS said.

To RSVP for Wednesday’s event, fill out this online form and submit. You will receive the link to the Zoom after you register.

If you’re not able to celebrate with Parson’s Nose this St. Patrick’s Day, you may consider making a donation to the theater. To donate, visit www.parsonsnose.org/donate.
