Young Adult fiction author Jay Coles will discuss his new book, “Things We Couldn’t Say,” on Vroman’s Live Tuesday, September 28. He will be in conversation with fellow author and musician Dave Connis.

In “Things We Couldn’t Say,” Gio is a bi Black boy finding first love and facing the return of the mother who abandoned his preacher family when he was nine. A description of the book, published by Scholastic Press, says:
“There’s always been a hole in Gio’s life. Not because he’s into both guys and girls. Not because his father has some drinking issues. Not because his friends are always bringing him their drama.
