A prominent member of the Tech Coast Angels (TCA) Board of Governors and Executive Committee, Christopher Yang’s wealth of experience in angel investing offers valuable knowledge of the multi-faceted due diligence process. His leadership roles at companies like Away, Onriva, Corporate Travel Management, and Onestop Internet inform his expertise in both the tech industry and the startup ecosystem. As a veteran technology executive with an 18-year track record, Christopher will draw from his firsthand experiences to delve into crucial areas such as startup screening, business model evaluation, financial review, market analysis, and more, providing actionable insights. Christopher is currently Vice President of Engineering at Away, a lifestyle brand democratizing travel. He previously held VP roles at both AI-centric Onriva and Corporate Travel Management (ASX: CTD), a global ASX Top 200 firm, He has also worked with DIRECTV, Ticketmaster, and Onestop Internet, a Nogin (NASDAQ: NOGN) acquisition. Through his board membership at Tech Coast Angels (TCA), he continues to guide portfolio companies and foster angel investing. Christopher also lectures at UCLA's Department of Engineering and Technology. He had launched UCLA Extension's inaugural Agile Project Management certificate. As a Forbes Technology Council member, he regularly contributes articles on technology, business strategy, and entrepreneurship.
