Join Jefferson Branch Library for this Autism workshop conducted by Anjali Carrasco Koester and Michaelann Gabriele, co-directors of Center for Developing Kids, a Pasadena-based organization dedicated to providing extensive pediatric therapies to children with disabilities and their families. Topics will include updated definitions of Autism and Sensory Integrative Dysfunction; the intersection of race/gender/class in the diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorders and other developmental delays; adaptive strategies for connecting with children on the spectrum; and how to access appropriate resources and social support for parents/caregivers.
