The Galleries at PCC present Wonder by Teri Barton. Wonder is a collection of work that sparked the Photographer’s imagination with wonder and awe. The artist has always admired nature, and through her lenses, her work represents her fascination with the intricacies of nature, through a macro lens, as well as, the expansive experience shared in the diverse beauty of North American. Encountering the joy of a child experiencing life with enthusiasm and joy in nature for the very first time, is the pinnacle of this show. The Photographer reminds us to tap into our own sense of wonder and curiosity, to be open to new experiences, to feel the magic that surrounds us every day. Seeing the fascinating world around us through the lenses of a photographer is an amazing journey starting there. Teri Barton, a native New Englander moved to Pasadena in 1985. Having a camera in hand for the last 40 years she found inspiration in her many travels. Barton set up an excellent base for rediscovering her passion capturing the beauty in nature, what started by focusing on the intimate details, designs, and essence in nature accented with bold colors, she inspires her audiences now has expanded to larger canvases and vast spaces. She is keen on embracing perspective on all things great and small. On view May 3-May 10 at PCC's V Gallery-V108, Mon - Thurs 11a - 3p.
