The premiere screening of L.A. Real: a theatrical reel which captures the solo performance piece, L.A. Real, written and directed by Theresa Chavez, a 7th generation Californio. Pondering its complicated layers, a Latina dives deep into her California ancestral history and how she should embrace it on a personal, political, and cultural level. The film, directed by Claudio Rocha, features actor/musician Marlene Beltran; with vintage photography and painting, original music; and video vignettes featuring Marco Rodriguez as Rodolfo Serling in a homage to The Twilight Zone.
