Flower Arranging: Greene and Greens

Published on Mar 15, 2021

The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino is sponsoring a virtual floral design class Saturday, March 20, on “Flower Arranging: Greene and Greens.”

Inspired by 20th-century architects Greene and Greene, instructors from Flower Duet, a Los Angeles florist who designs event and wedding flowers, will show you how to use elegant green stems and florals to create an arrangement to highlight any interior space.

The class offers two options for participants to choose from: first, the Virtual Course plus materials, where the registration includes a pre-recorded lesson with lecture and detailed demonstration, with all supplies and materials to be picked up by participants at The Huntington, and a live Zoom follow-up at 5 p.m.

Materials pickup is from 8 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, at 1151 Oxford Road in San Marino.

Members register for $80 for the first option, and non-members pay $85.

The live Zoom hour does not include additional instruction but is an opportunity to share with fellow classmates what you made, or to ask questions of the Flower Duet instructors.

The second option is for the Virtual Course only, where registration includes the pre-recorded lesson, with lecture and detailed demonstration, an online supply list as reference for each participant, and the live Zoom follow-up at 5 p.m.

For this option, Huntington members register for $45, and non-members pay $55.

To sign up, visit https://www.huntington.org/events/calendar/month and choose the “Flower Arranging: Greene and Greens,” Saturday, March 20 tab. Participants will receive information regarding video links and material pickup in the confirmation e-mail.
