With supply chain issues affecting retailers and consumers this holiday season, gift giving can be a lot more challenging and make you feel more like Scrooge than Santa. More than ever, people are looking for gifts that support local, independent businesses; offer experiences; and don’t rely on unpredictable supply chains – making gift cards an ideal option.

According to a Blackhawk Network survey, last year, gift cards recorded a banner year as one of the season’s most popular gifts. This year, because of the ease of giving a gift card and the growing concern over slower delivery times and inventory issues, gift cards are again a “must have” item on most people’s lists.

Southern California boutique hospitality company, Eat.Drink.Sleep, is offering 25% off room rates at all five of its hotels this year. Two of its hotels not far from Pasadena are, Tower23 in San Diego, and Bellanca Hotel in Avalon.

To receive these special rates you must book between Friday, November 26 and Monday, November 29, 2021. Travel dates are anytime between December 1, 2021 and December 1, 2022.

San Diego’s vibrant beach life sets the stage for Tower23’s distinctive architecture and style. The rooms and suites at Tower23 offer ocean views, clean and modern design, high-end amenities, and furnishings that create the perfect balance between luxury and relaxation.

Tower23’s onsite restaurant, JRDN offers meals with a view. Chef Stephen Gage taps into the flavor of the season by working with local purveyors to create a dynamic menu that reflects JRDN’s seaside location.
