Join Kathy Chu, Pasadena-based Yoig and Philanthropist, on Saturday, December 26, at Garfield Park, at 1000 Park Avenue in South Pasadena, for a one-hour outdoor yoga class that doubles as a small fundraiser.

Not only will participants enjoy an in-person outdoor yoga class, but 20 percent of proceeds will also be donated to local non-profit organizations.

In this Outdoor Yoga-Karma Yoga-Vinyasa and Meditation event, you can get outdoors, do something productive and give back to the community, while stretching, strengthening and meditating with Kathy Chu, who is the founder of Root Cause Yoga in Pasadena.

The event will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Classes are limited to 10 people to keep a good social distance and for Kathy Chu to be able to give everyone her time and attention.

“I have been teaching outdoor yoga classes, during this pandemic, since July and this has been completely safe for all attendees,” Chu said. “Bring a mat, mask and water. Hand sanitizer is provided.”

Throughout the month of December, 20 percent of all sales will be donated to a local non-profit, among them Elizabeth House, which provides a Residential Program and life-long personalized care for pregnant and parenting women and their children; Day One, which helps build “vibrant, healthy cities” by advancing public health, empowering youth, and igniting change; and Union Station Homeless Services, which offers comprehensive outreach, shelter, housing, and employment services to help adults and families find housing and stay housed for good.

You can also visit the website of Kathy Chu’s nonprofit, Native to Earth, www.nativetoearth.org to make a simple donation.
