Junior League of Pasadena Hosts Women’s Wellness Workshop Focused on Breathwork That You Can Join

Published on Jan 7, 2021

The Junior League of Pasadena (JLP) is holding a free Women’s Wellness Workshop on Sunday, January 10, a one-hour and a half session on breathwork.

Breathwork is an active breathing meditation that allows you to connect with your heart and spirit. It is a conscious three-step circular breathing technique which activates the parasympathetic nervous system putting your body in a relaxed state.

Pasadena-based holistic psychotherapy practitioner Natalie Moore says Breathwork is a powerful healing tool “that harnesses the breath as a conduit for releasing trauma, tension and blocked emotions that have accumulated in the body” over the course of a lifetime. One breathwork session can feel like a decade of therapy without uttering a single word.

“Not only can it help you move through the unpleasant emotions, help you let go of tension in the body and heal trauma, it can also move you into new heights of consciousness,” Moore writes on her website, www.awakentheself.com

During your Breathwork session, music and a guided meditation will help you go deep into your healing journey. Some of the amazing benefits that individuals experience is a positive shift in their energy, reducing their stress levels, as well as gaining mental and emotional clarity. Some additional benefits of Breathwork include healing trauma, grief, improving sleep patterns, feeling more energetic and feeling more empowered.

The Junior League of Pasadena’s Women’s Wellness Workshop series features a different virtual event every Sunday in January. The workshops are designed to set you up for a healthy and successful 2021. With a virtual platform, you can discover new paths to self care from the comfort of your own home.
