The Langham Huntington, Pasadena has partnered with local nonprofit Five Acres to support National Foster Care Awareness Month in May.

For all bookings made at the Langham using promo code FIVEACRES during the month of May, for stays through the end of the year, the hotel will donate 10% of proceeds to help further Five Acres’ goal of helping every single child in foster care find a loving, permanent family.

“We are proud to partner with Five Acres during National Foster Care Awareness Month,” said Paul Leclerc, Managing Director of The Langham Huntington, Pasadena. “This is an important cause that we are passionate about, and we hope that our donation will help Five Acres continue their important work.”

Five Acres has been protecting the most vulnerable members of the community – children – since 1888. Serving more than 6,500 children and family members annually across six counties, Five Acres now strives for permanency – a permanent, loving home – for all children in their care.

“We are grateful to The Langham Huntington, Pasadena for their generous support of our mission,” said Chanel Boutakidis, CEO of Five Acres. “Their donation will help us provide essential services to children in foster care, such as housing, food, clothing, education, and therapy.”

National Foster Care Awareness Month is an annual observance held in May to raise awareness about the needs of children in foster care. The month-long campaign is a time to educate the public about the challenges faced by children in foster care, and to encourage people to get involved in supporting these children and their families.

There are currently more than 400,000 children in foster care in the United States. These children have come from a variety of backgrounds, but they all share one thing in common: they need a safe and loving home.
