The City of Pasadena’s Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department (PRCS) is hosting a Boxing “Sparring” session on Thursday, July 28, where you can learn boxing basics by developing your stance, footwork, balance, punches and defenses.
This will be held at Robinson Park between 5 and 8 p.m. as part of Pasadena’s Parks after Dark program.
The program takes advantage of the city’s beautiful summer evenings by activating park spaces to provide opportunities for youth and their families to experience healthy recreation and active lifestyles. Programming is led by PRCS with strong support from partners, including other City departments, the Armory Center for the Arts, Let’s Teach, Day One, and other community organizations.
“Wednesdays through Saturday evenings will be extra fun this summer,” PRCS Director Brenda Harvey-Williams said. “Please join us for a slew of free recreation opportunities that range from organized sports leagues and tournaments to movies to swimming to art workshops. It’s going to be a blast!”
Boxing “Sparring” is free to join, as are all other Parks After Dark activities. Pre-registration is recommended, although on-site registration will also be available.
