Learn to Become Fully Present with Junior League of Pasadena’s Virtual Mindfulness Program

Published on Dec 3, 2020

Ann D’Angelo, a trained mindfulness coach with a thriving Pasadena-based practice, continues her series of mindfulness sessions on Zoom on Thursday, December 3, hosted by the Junior League of Pasadena (JLP). This time, she will discuss how to be live in the moment and become fully present.

The session is from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The series started on October 15 when she focused on introducing participants to Virtual Mindfulness. The next focus were Self Compassion, Loving Kindness, and Gratitude. After this Thursday’s Living in the Moment focus, she will discuss Equanimity (Balance) on December 17.

Each session in the series includes an introduction, a guided practice, time for reflection, an optional breakout so you could share your experience, and take-home practice. Home practice will be supported with a Mindfulness Tool Kit, available for pick-up at JLP headquarters, at 149 S. Madison Ave.

In her Pasadena practice, D’Angelo teaches children and teens in the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program, and adults so they could cultivate the practice of mindfulness in everyday life.

She has a Masters in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College, a California Teaching Credential, and over two decades of teaching service in public and private schools.

Her mindfulness studies include MBSR professional training with Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn and Dr. Saki Santorelli, Mindsight Exploration Series with Dr. Dan Siegel, Inner Kids Program with Susan Kaiser-Greenland, Mindful Schools curriculum training, and MSC (mindful self-compassion) core skills training with Dr. Kristin Neff and Dr. Christopher Germer.

Although the JLP program is more than halfway through, guests can still sign up for a single session for only $10.
