Malbec Argentinean Cuisine, at 1001 E. Green Street in Pasadena, presents La LoCA Milonga, a three-course Argentinian dinner and tango show, on Sunday, October 3, starting at 7 p.m.
The milonga is an Argentine ballroom dance that preceded the tango early in the 20th century. Nowadays, the word is used to describe a dance event, usually on weekend evenings, where the tango is danced.
Sponsored by Tango Argentina Los Angeles, the event will have tango enthusiasts Alejandra Folguera, Geraldine Freitag and Luciano Alcorta as hosts.
Live tango music will be performed by Hugo Satorre, a bandoneon player and Latin Grammy nominee, and Winnie Cheung, tango pianist.
Dancing is strongly encouraged in this outdoor dining event.
