Marshall Fundamental School Offers Book Distribution and Instrument Tuning for Students

Published on Oct 23, 2020

Marshall Fundamental School, at 990 N. Allen Ave. in Pasadena, is distributing books and tuning string instruments for free for its students at least once a week.

On Fridays, students can pick-up books curbside from the school librarian, Sara Scribner, along with Marshall Fundamental Security officer Jason Tea. The books include those used as standard classroom materials, the Middle School Book Club, as well as other library books.

Book Pickup is from 2:15 to 3:30 p.m.

On Mondays, orchestra teacher Christopher Horikawa will tune students’ orchestra instruments for free in a drive-thru setup, with everyone observing social distancing or staying in their cars.

You can drive-thru with your child’s instrument late in the afternoon, usually from 3 to 3:30 p.m. You may also make an appointment with Chris Horikawa at horikawa.christopher@pusd.us.

For more information, call Felita Kealing, Marshall Fundamental School Assistant Coordinator for Marketing, Student Recruitment, and Community Relations, at (626) 396-5810 ext. 64093 or email Kealing.Felita@pusd.us.
