Marina Brozovic, Navigation Engineer at NASA/JPL in Pasadena, will discuss why orbits are important when looking at solar dynamics, resonances, and moons of the outer solar system, during an online lecture on Thursday, March 17, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

The lecture, titled “Moon Dance: Dynamics of the Moons of the Outer Solar System,” is part of JPL’s von Karman Lecture Series.

Named after JPL’s founder, and presented by JPL’s Office of Communication and Education, the Theodore von Kármán Lecture Series brings the excitement of the space program’s missions, instruments and other technologies to both JPL employees and the local community. Lectures normally take place twice per month, on consecutive Thursdays and Fridays.

The Thursday lectures take place in JPL’s Theodore von Kármán Auditorium and are streamed live via YouTube and Ustream, and Friday lectures take place at Caltech. Both start at 7 p.m.

Due to COVID-19 and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the von Karman series continues to be a completely virtual event, taking place once per month, while being recorded for you to enjoy at any time.
