Native Plant Garden Tour Blooms Today with “Metropolis in Metamorphosis”

Published on Apr 24, 2022

After two years of virtual tours, Theodore Payne Foundation’s 2022 Native Plant Garden Tour will be back in-person on Sunday with “Metropolis in Metamorphosis,” spotlighting over 30 gardens across Los Angeles.

This two-day journey will bring together the plants and people that make Southern California one of the most unique and biodiverse places on the planet. Highlights include more than 10 new gardens, a new stylized tour guide filled with vivid stories and interviews, and an after-party at L.A. State Historic Park.

Each ticket includes admission for a single visitor to all gardens across both days, admission to the after-party, and a printed color guide with addresses and driving directions. The tour is self-guided, so you can make your own itinerary and go at your own pace.

Tickets are $35 for Theodore Payne Foundation members and $40 for non-members. Children under 16 do not require a ticket.

To purchase tickets, visit www.nativeplantgardentour.org. On Saturday and Sunday during the Tour, tickets can be purchased at Plant Material in Altadena, at 3081 Lincoln Ave., where tickets are available from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m.
