Parson’s Nose Theater will be presenting live performances of music and comedy in June at its historic Marston and Van Pelt designed theater in Old Pasadena. Parson’s Nose is devoted to performing condensed classic adaptations of the world’s greatest writers – from Shakespeare and Molière to Shaw and Chekhov. During the COVID pandemic, the theater presented its Radio Theater productions, ranging from Chekov and Mark Twain to Old Time Radio Theater.

With the return to live performances the theater is adding timeless music and the Golden Age of Radio to its repertoire.

First up is a musical performance by the Caltech’s OcTech. The OcTech is a newly formed group of distinguished Caltech singers, who also represent the fields of microbiologists, chemistry, physicists and assorted other scientific disciplines, and perform classical and modern pieces. Parson’s Nose will be hosting the Caltech OcTech on Sunday, June 12th at 7 pm. Reservations are required. Click here for Caltech’s OcTech reservations. A portion of the proceeds will go toward Ukrainian relief.

Next, Parson’s Nose will return to “those thrilling days of yesteryear” with original radio scripts performed by the amazing Parson’s Nose Players. Timeless shows like “Flash Gordon,” “The Shadow” and “The Romance of Helen Trent” will be reborn on stage at Parson’s Nose.
