Pasadena Playhouse’s First-Ever Family Play Day Offers Free Fun-Filled Day for Kids and Parents

The Pasadena Playhouse was making last-minute preparations for its debut Playhouse Family Play Day early Saturday, October 21. The event is set to unfold along El Molino Avenue right in front of the Playhouse from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and promises a day of free, family-focused entertainment and activities that will delight both kids and parents.

It’s designed with families in mind, offering an array of engaging experiences for all age groups. 

Parents and their little ones can look forward to arts and crafts stations where creativity knows no bounds, face painting to transform young faces into works of art, and talented balloon animal artists who will bring smiles to children’s faces. 

Food trucks will be on hand to satisfy appetites with a variety of delights.

The day’s entertainment lineup is sure to captivate families from start to finish. 

Rachel Bloom, renowned for her roles in “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” “Trolls,” and “Reboot,” will take the stage at 1:00 p.m., promising a lively and entertaining performance.

Before Bloom’s headline act, a lineup of artists will entertain the crowd, including LoveBug and Me, Books and Cookies, Pasadena Conservatory of Music, and DrumatiX, ensuring that every member of the family finds something to enjoy.

Beyond the fun and festivities, the Playhouse Family Play Day marks the beginning of an extensive expansion of youth and family programming at the Pasadena Playhouse. Danny Feldman, Producing Artistic Director of the Playhouse, enthusiastically says the Playhouse is “thrilled to kick off a major expansion of our youth and family programs, including professional productions, classes, camps, and more.”
