Join the Pasadena Public Library at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, for a virtual transit safety workshop with Metro featuring instructions on how to ride the bus and train safely during the pandemic.

Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a 45-minute chat featuring the new train system map with designated letters for the train lines, Metro procedures for keeping your trip virus-free, and destinations riders can reach via the L (Gold) Line.

The library is partnering with Metro’s Community Education Department in this workshop.

The Community Education Department is responsible for increasing transit safety awareness and providing education to residents of Los Angeles County who interact with Metro’s public transit system. Their programs also include safety on bicycles, aside from Metro’s trains and buses.

This webinar is part of the department’s strong emphasis on the neighborhoods within a 1.5-mile radius from all Metro at-grade light rail lines. The Community Education team employs a comprehensive community outreach plan that engages schools, community centers, libraries, health institutions, and places of worship year-round.

To sign up for this program, send an email to Jennifer Driscoll, jdriscoll@cityofpasadena.net.
