Those walls you’ve been staring at since March could probably use a new summer look. (What season is this, anyway?)

According to Westlake Ace Hardware and Benjamin Moore paints, now is a great time to bring the brightness of summer indoors to create a space that refreshes your home and renews your spirit.

Designer Brian Gluckstein, an adviser to Benjamin Moore’s Color and Design Team, offers three tips to bring freshness, vitality, and beauty into your home.

  •  Pretty in pink. Versatile with a touch of sweetness, pale pink can be a flattering color choice for bedrooms, bathrooms, and dressing rooms. Much like a neutral, pale pinks are soft and warm and can add the perfect touch of elegance to any space. Benjamin Moore Pleasant Pink 2094-60 is a beautiful on-trend choice for a fresh, light blush shade of pink.

  • Make the neighbors green with envy. Gray-green colors are the perfect extension of the grey trend with a subtle hint of color to freshen up a space for summer. Benjamin Moore Carolina Gull 2138-40 adds a modern touch to invigorate a traditional space. Try pairing gold accents with gray-green colors.

  • Grey from the ground up. Gray helps achieve a look that is simple and elegant, yet makes a space feel fresh, breezy and open. A blue-gray color pairs well with light, grey washed floors. To create an illusion of higher ceilings, painting out the base, trim, and doors to match the walls.
