Pets of the Week at Pasadena Humane

Hansel (l) and Willow (r)

Here are the Pets of the Week available for adoption at the Pasadena Humane this week:

Two-year-old Hansel (A511642) is the most handsome Akita you’ll ever meet! Hansel has a lot of puppy playfulness and exuberance, but he also has a quiet and mellow personality that gives him the look of an overgrown 95-pound teddy bear.

Hansel loves playing with toys- He is a self-fetching machine who can’t seem to wait long enough for people to throw the tennis ball, so he throws it to himself, then trots around like he’s found the best prize ever. Then he is happy to relax and contemplate what bark is made out of on a tree.

Hansel has been out with the Pasadena Humane Mobile team and they have given him a five-star rating. He enjoys meeting people, rolling over for belly rubs and being an easy-going dude.

Come meet this supermodel today!

The adoption fee for dogs is $150. All dog adoptions include spay or neuter, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines.

New adopters will receive a complimentary health-and-wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a goody bag filled with information about how to care for your pet.

View photos of adoptable pets and schedule an adoption appointment at pasadenahumane.org. Adoptions are by appointment only, and new adoption appointments are available every Sunday and Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.

Pets may not be available for adoption and cannot be held for potential adopters by phone calls or email.

Willow (A512171) is a beautiful brown tabby who ended up at the shelter after her people had to move. Willow can take a little time to warm up to new people, but she is easily won over with a couple of snacks!

This 5-year-old girl is something of a foodie. She has a fondness for crunchy treats and is happy to shower whomever brings her these yummy morsels with purrs and headbutts.

Willow has lived with a dog, so with a slow introduction, she will probably acclimate to another dog well. As long as he steers clear of her treats…

Because Willow is 5 years old, she can be adopted by any person over 60 years old at no charge thanks to Pasadena Humane’s Seniors for Seniors program.

The adoption fee for cats is $100. All cat adoptions include spay or neuter, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines.
