As you may know by now, the City of Pasadena just announced that retail is now allowed to reopen for in-person shopping. Many of Old Pasadena’s retailers are busy confirming plans and making sure they have enough supplies for sanitation and social distancing protocols, so you might not see your favorite shop open quite yet. Give them a few days.
But meanwhile, two of Old Pasadena’s favorite businesses are hosting pop-up events this weekend, designed to deliver fast, easy, and yummy drinks and food quickly and efficiently into your collective hands and gullets.
On Friday, May 29, Stone Brewing Company Store will host The Mission Barbecue from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Stone will feature its Enjoy By 7.4.20 IPA brew at the event.
Then, on Saturday, May 30, grab your face masks and head over to Kings Row Gastropub for its pop-up with Koko’s Tacos from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. You can choose from pulled pork, chicken, or cauliflower tacos, as well as craft beer and cocktails; and of course, all items offered only to go.
Social distancing and masks are required at both happenings, and more details are available right here at @stonepasadena and @kingsrowpub.
You should probably also call your favorite shop before making the trip out there to make sure they’re actually open.
Most importantly, like you don’t know already, please wear your face coverings and be aware of social distancing as you stand in line or shop indoors. That helps all of the businesses’ diligent efforts to keep their spaces safe while contributing to a safe reopen for the entire district.
