Renowned Stained Glass Studio Owner David Judson to Tell History, Symbols of The Windows of Holy Family Church

Published on Feb 23, 2022

David Judson, president and owner of Judson Studios, a fine arts studio specializing in stained glass, will discuss the history and symbolism of the windows at Holy Family Church in South Pasadena during an online event on Thursday, Feb. 24.

The event is sponsored by the Holy Family Church Ministry of the Arts.

Judson will tell the story of how the stained glass windows at Holy Family were made by D’Almans Studios in Paris in 1963, and how they compare to other stained glass installations in Southern California.

Judson is the fifth generation of the Judson family to operate the company. In 2015, he decided to expand the studio’s operations to a second location to incorporate fusing capabilities to the firm’s offerings and to open the studios to fine artists interested in working with glass.

Currently, David Judson is President of the Stained Glass Association of America (SGAA) and lives with his family in Pasadena.

The discussion is free to watch and begins at 7 p.m. To register, visit www.eventbrite.com/e/illuminations-in-stained-glass-the-windows-of-holy-family-w-david-judson-tickets-243176897647.
