More than 90,000 seats at the Rose Bowl have been outfitted with digital seat tags allowing UCLA football fans fast and easy access to a new interactive experience, according to the company that installed the system last week.

Texas-based Digital Seat Media attached Digital Seat Tags to the seats, the company said in a written statement. “UCLA fans will be able to scan the QR code on the Digital Seat tags installed on each seat to instantly enter the Bruins’ new Digital Seat fan portal without having to download an app or rely upon wi-fi connectivity.”

The digital addition is meant to “enhance the overall fan experience at America’s Stadium,” Rose Bowl Operating Company Chief Revenue Officer Jens Weiden said. “Digital Seat Tags does just that by providing engaging content and information instantly.”

“Being the first stadium in California to implement this technology is exciting and we look forward to having it in place for the start of the UCLA Bruins football season this Fall,” Weiden said.

The technology has previously been installed at more than 20 other venues nationwide, according to Digital Seat Media.

The new Digital Seat Portal includes downloadable coupons, team Instagram filters, player statistics and rosters, schedules and more, the statement said.

More information on Digital Seat Media is available on the company’s website at digitalseat.com.
