Sue Mossman Bids Farewell to Pasadena Heritage, Leaving a Legacy of Preservation

Sue Mossman, the Executive Director of Pasadena Heritage, concluded her nearly five decades of service, including three decades as the organization’s leader, with a retirement celebration on Saturday, May 4. The event, held at the Athenaeum at Caltech, hosted around 200 guests.

During her tenure, Mossman played a significant role in shaping Pasadena Heritage into one of the most successful and respected preservation organizations in the country.

The evening featured a cocktail reception, a formal dinner, live entertainment, and tributes to Mossman’s extensive contributions. During the program, attendees celebrated Mossman’s legacy while reflecting on her leadership that transformed Pasadena Heritage into a vital advocate for the preservation of the city’s architectural and cultural heritage.

Beyond honoring her impact, the event’s proceeds will directly support Pasadena Heritage’s continued work in education, advocacy, and preservation. The evening marked a significant transition for the organization as it looks forward to building on Mossman’s foundation and expanding its impact in protecting the historical legacy of Pasadena.
