Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy is set to open in Pasadena this month and is marking the occasion with a grand opening extravaganza that features two mesmerizing cultural performances at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.

With an emphasis on promoting love, peace, and conscience, these performances promise a captivating display of martial arts, music, dance, and drama.

Academy spokesperson Lily Chen emphasized that these performances, scheduled for the afternoon and evening, are open to the public and completely free. The heart of the event lies in its mission to propagate harmony and positivity through various art forms, she said.

Martial Arts for Peace and Conflict Prevention

Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy, an international nonprofit organization, strives to foster love and peace through Qigong practice and martial arts. Chen emphasized their core belief that the highest form of martial arts is to advocate for peace and prevent conflicts.

“Back to the Origin” Matinee Performance

The matinee performance, titled “Back to the Origin,” delves into deep philosophical and historical themes. It aims to awaken the audience’s conscience and convey profound messages through a mesmerizing blend of music, dance, and martial arts.

“Cultural Performance Promoting Love, Peace, and Conscience” Evening Show

In the evening, the “Cultural Performance Promoting Love, Peace, and Conscience” will incorporate ancient cultural elements and the wisdom of Yin and Yang philosophy to spread positivity and balance among the audience.

Global Collaboration and Cultural Exchange

Over 600 volunteers from around the world, deeply committed to the cause and self-funded, will participate in the event, showcasing the power of heart-to-heart communication through their performances. The academy seeks to highlight the intricate relationship between humanity and nature, promoting harmonious coexistence with the natural world.

Incorporating Modern Twists

The program promises contemporary elements, including electrifying LED sword performances that provide a modern twist to traditional aspects. Chen clarified that all props and elements are handmade by academy members, and the LED swords used in performances are purely props, not real weapons.

A Message of Positivity and Blessings

The grand opening event aims to radiate positive energy and blessings, thanks to the passion and positivity of the performers and the academy’s uplifting messages.

Chen said that because their performances come from their hearts, they will have a great impact on the audience. “And also our messages are very positive. We believe that when we think kind thoughts, we can collectively create very positive energy for the whole area,” said Lily Chen.
