As we perhaps move past the latest Omicon surg, Pasadena Heritage is once again offering its in-person bi-monthly edition of the Old Pasadena Walking Tour.

You can explore Old Pasadena and learn so much you never knew. You’ve walked it and driven through it without knowing much about the world that once existed, right here.

Each of the tours features a slightly different route and theme , with each lasting approximately one hour over a distance of about one mile.

Pasadena’s original downtown area was once slated for demolition, but is now one of the finest examples of downtown revitalization in the country.

The next walking tour is Saturday, February 5, from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. It will include historic Dayton Street and some of Pasadena’s first Black-owned businesses, the first fire station, and the historic Friendship Baptist Church. Groups will be kept small and required to wear masks.

Reservations are required. Tickets are available at pasadenaheritage.org. They may also be ordered by phone at (626)-441-6333. Advance reservations are highly recommended.
